Malindi prison wardens roughed their colleague who they accused of smuggling tobacco to the inmates. In a video that has since gone viral, four wardens subdue a helpless cop who is hiding the drugs in his genital area. They lay him on the ground as one searches for the drugs which they confiscate but continue mishandling him. The incident took place on Monday, Patrick Safari said as he posted the 52 second video. The county government of Machakos has temporarily closed privately owned Shalom Hospital where an infant died under bizarre circumstances on Sunday. The deceased, son to a KBC reporter Jonathan Musau, suffered minor burn injuries. “My sincere condolences to the family of the child – Jonathan Musau and his wife and their family for this loss. The management of Kenya Railways has announced that children above three years of age will pay the full fare to travel on the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) starting June 1. According to the management, the changes are intended to improve services on Madaraka Express. In a press release issued on Friday, the management stated that minors will also be required to present their parents’ or guardians’ ID as they book.
