South African socialite Zodwa Wabantu, known for her dance moves and her love of walking around without her inner wear is about to walk down the aisle.
Zodwa went down on one knee over the weekend at Eyadini Lounge, Durban and proposed to her boyfriend Ntobeko Linda.
He said yes.
In a post on Instagram, the proud mother of one said she is not afraid to speak her truth and was elated that she took the initiative.
“We as Women we give our Men Money to Marry us. Hard working Women hide that they Marry themselves by giving their Boyfriends money to go to their families to pay Lobola,” she wrote.
On Monday, she showed off their engagement rings along with the invoice.
Hers cost a whooping Sh300,000 while that of her partner cost her some Sh30,000.
Speaking to a South African blog, the dancer noted that she used money made from twerking to pay for the bands.
Ntobeko, though taken by surprise said he is ready to marry his fiancee, with whom he is in love with.
“What’s the difference if the engagement proposal is done by a man or woman. I don’t care what people say because they have been calling us names,” he said.
Zodwa is also looking forward to saying I DO and the journey that is marriage. She also advised the women to put the ring on it instead of waiting for the men to do it.
“If you love your man why wait for him to put a ring on it? You can also do the same if you are in a relationship.
It’s 2019 ladies, what are we waiting for? Let’s put the ring on it,” she added.
The two will allegedly exchange vows in June.
