Some flights have been diverted from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to Mombasa International Airport due to bad weather, airport manager Peter Wafula has said. According to Wafula, at least five aircraft had been rerouted by midmorning. They included Egypt Air from Dar es Salaam, Jambojet, two Kenya Airways flights from Accra and Lagos. National carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) will on Thursday resume flights to Mumbai, India after a four-month interruption due to a surge in Covid-19 infections. Police have rescued a man from a mob in Nairobi’s Mukuru Kayaba slums. The man, Dennis Mokaya, was rescued from the irate mob by Nyumba Kumi officials in Kambi Moto, Starehe Sub-County. An unidentified number of people are trapped after a two storey building collapsed in Kisumu’s Mamboleo area. Among those trapped are three women who were serving food.
