A family in Kakamega County was left in shock and grief after county officials forced them to exhume the body of their son who was buried in service uniform. According to reports, Martin Shikuku Alukoye, 31, was working with the Kakamega County Youth Service at the time of his death. He is said to have drowned in River Eburinde, Kakamega County on August 7 and was buried on the night of August 11 according to the Luhya customs. Police officers are seeking to detain three suspected terror suspects for taking pictures of Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel in Nairobi. According to sergeant Joseph Mwiti who is attached to ATPU, the three were nabbed on suspicion of carrying out surveillance at the hotel for purposes of carrying out an attack. Detectives have launched a manhunt against robbers who broke into Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi’s house. According to the legislator, the burglars made away with household goods of undetermined value. It was not clear how the thugs gained access to the legislator’s house while he had a guard. The Judicial Service Commission has recommended the appointment of 20 judges to the Environment court and 10 judges to the Labour relations court. In a statement signed by Chief Justice David Maraga, the commission noted that they received 229 applications for the Environment court positions and 160 for the Labour court following a vacancy announcement on February 22 on the local dailies. Mombasa suspected drug trafficker Ali Punjani’s wife, Karki Sushmija, has been arrested alongside two other individuals during a police raid at the tycoon’s Nyali house. Suspected Mombasa drug lord Ali Punjani, who was being sought by police officers over drug trafficking, is hospitalized at Asian Heart Institute in India. The police have on Monday afternoon closed off the Nakuru – Naivasha highway at Stem Hotel near Pipeline area in Nakuru after a fuel tanker developed spillage. Stating the incident, Nakuru East OCPD Ellena Kabukuru noted that they have already provided an alternative route for commuters along the highway. A Fly540 plane was forced to abort it’s take off after one of the plane’s tyre was stuck in a pothole in Manda Airport in Lamu. The 36 passengers on board experienced a moment of fear during the Sunday incident. Luckily, no one was hurt as the passengers in the Nairobi-bound plane hurridly disembarked.
