Police have arrested two St Teresa Hospital staff following the death of Hellen Wanjiru on Wednesday after a botched c-section. That was after the medical practitioners who carried out the operation ‘fled’ after the would-be mother died of over bleeding. According to the family, Wanjiru was nine months pregnant and was rushed to the facility after developing complications. Homa Bay Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata has threatened to fire county employees who will fail to register for Huduma Namba. A police inspector was killed, three others severely injured and two children were abducted in Samburu North sub county. According to the Samburu County Police Commander Karanja Muiruri, the deceased, was leading his colleagues in an operation aimed to recover livestock that was stolen at Suyian village. The body of a woman has been recovered in Kibera, Sarangombe area after Nairobi floods wreaked havoc. According to reports, the woman was swept away with her two children after heavy rains on Tuesday evening. The High Court has charged a woman on Tuesday for killing her eight-month-old daughter whom she claimed resembled Opposition leader Raila Odinga. Sevelina Mwihaki Kamau, however, changed tune while appearing before Kibera Senior Resident Magistrate Renee Kamau. She denied having killed her baby for refusing to take milk which she had bought. There was drama in Migori County after a detective attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Nairobi office hurled insults at OCS officer of Kehancha Police Station.
