Police have arrested two St Teresa Hospital staff following the death of Hellen Wanjiru on Wednesday after a botched c-section.
That was after the medical practitioners who carried out the operation ‘fled’ after the would-be mother died of over bleeding.
According to the family, Wanjiru was nine months pregnant and was rushed to the facility after developing complications.
However, the hospital advised that a c-section was necessary since she had started bleeding.
A family member noted that the deceased was induced into labor and that was when she started bleeding.

The facility is then accused of having denied the family to access Wanjiru and neither did they divulge any information on her state.
Wanjiru’s family lawyer told the media that Wanjiru’s sister forced her way to the theater and found the deceased lying dead.
The doctor who performed the operation is on the run and the hospital is yet to provide the family with documents relating to the botched C-section.
Additionally, Wanjiru’s kin accused the facility of denying them to carry out an autopsy without her medical report.
