In this Texas school, wearing an all-black outfit will result in a dress code violation. Charles Middle School, part of the El Paso Independent School District, is prohibiting students from wearing black clothing, citing mental health concerns. Two major teachers’ unions Wednesday threatened to order their members to go on strike over pending unsolved labour related issues. The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) said they will call for a nationwide teachers’ strike if the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) fails to implement six resolutions they demand to be addressed. The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Wednesday announced the release of a new and updated series of banknotes. The new notes will also come with at least four changes in them. In the announcement, CBK said the notes will be in circulation alongside the current ones. Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman along Ngong Road in Karen, Nairobi. The body was discovered on Tuesday August 6 evening by pedestrians long after the woman had apparently died. Police said the body had no visible injuries. Police are holding a woman who allegedly stabbed and seriously wounded her husband in a domestic fight in Nakuru Town. The victim is nursing wounds in hospital after the Monday night incident, police said. The incident happened in Game Park View area in Mwariki Sub Location. Police have arrested at least six suspected robbers and recovered six police communication gadgets from them in a botched robbery at a house in Ruaka area, Kiambu County.
