A notorious sim swap fraudster was Wednesday arrested by Thika-based detectives. The swindler was arrested right in the act after presenting himself to a Safaricom shop for sim replacement services while using a forged ID waiting card and a police abstract form purportedly issued by Central Police Station-Nairobi. A form two student was electrocuted after she touched a naked live wire in Emorjoi village, Mulot, Narok County. The student at Emorji Day Secondary School was heading home when she accidentally touched a Kenya Power live wire, which had fallen down due to a heavy downpour on Tuesday, September 26 evening. A student at Strathmore University in Nairobi died by suicide after he jumped off the fifth floor of a mall in Syokimau area, Machakos County. Police and witnesses said Basil Nyaga Mbugua, 22, went to the rooftop of the Gateway Mall where he jumped off to the ground floor on Tuesday evening.
