A female staffer at a fast food joint in Kitengela has been fatally stabbed by an alleged lover. The Chicken Inn employee was stabbed by a male colleague with whom she is said to have been in a relationship. Police and witnesses said the incident took place on Friday night. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that there was a sinister plot to have him locked up should he and President William Ruto have lost in the 2022 polls. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has blamed the Kenyatta family for the maltreatment of Mau Mau fighters since the country earned independence in 1963. Three people have been charged with scamming an Iranian national in a fake gold deal. The suspects; Patrick Ngare, Kelvin Mwaura Ngotho, and Muke Wa Mansoni Didier (Congolese), were on Thursday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts for defrauding Sadegh Sadeghan. The trio is said to have entered into a Sh65 million gold deal with Mr Sadeghan. They had promised to deliver 60 kilograms of gold. A High Court has ruled that it has jurisdiction to hear a suit by nearly 200 people sacked by a subcontractor for Facebook’s parent company Meta. On March 17, 183 content moderators employed in Nairobi by Sama, a Meta subcontractor, filed a lawsuit in a local court, alleging “unlawful” termination by the social media behemoth. According to Meta’s lawyers, the company cannot be sued since the Employment and Labour Relations Court lacks the authority to rule against a non-Kenyan organization.
