The High court Friday ordered the Sh13.4 million seized from drug trafficking suspect Nancy Kigunzu be deposited into the Assets and Recovery Agency’s (ARA) preservation account at the Kenya Commercial Bank. Lady Justice Diana Kavedza said ARA should produce in court a copy of the deposit slip as proof. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) Revenue Service Assistants (RSAs) to observe professionalism during revenue collection. A Nakuru Catholic priest who went missing on Wednesday evening after he was allegedly abducted by unknown people was found alive hours after his disappearance. Father Michael Muriuki of the Holy Cross Parish in Nakuru City was on Thursday morning found alive with his hands and legs tied. Police said more than Sh100,000 was withdrawn from his several accounts at different points within the town. According to police, the vehicle was found abandoned with a running engine. The Court of Appeal has upheld the election of Lagdera Member of Parliament Abdikadir Hussein Mohammed. The High Court had nullified his election saying there were elements of irregularities setting the motion for a by-election which was to be held on a date to be decided upon by the electoral body.
