DCI detectives have in custody four university students over suspected robbery. According to the DCI, one of the suspects is a student at Kenyatta University while the others are pursuing a degree course in Development Studies at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Two Kenya Airways (KQ) flight attendants have been detained in India on suspicion of having concealed gold. The two are said to have been apprehended by airport authorities in Mumbai, who are said to have informed their Kenyan counterparts about the matter. Ten suspects arrested for defrauding Safaricom Sh449.6 million through its overdraft service, Fuliza, registered thousands of SIM Cards, a court heard. Safarilink airline has admonished Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o after complaining about flight ticket pricing. The US government has issued a warning to its citizens residing in Kenya about a potential terrorist attack in Nairobi. On Thursday, the US embassy warned that terrorist organizations may plan an attack with little to no notice and target populated areas. Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has moved to court seeking anticipatory bail after the alleged police raid on Wednesday night.
