The number of the coronavirus cases in the country rose to 3,305 after 90 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours. National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani has a proposed a new tax measure aimed at ensuring that loss-making companies contribute to the national revenue. Embattled Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has been dealt a blow after the High Court declined to annul her impeachment. In a ruling on Thursday, Justice Weldon Korir said the Kirinyaga Members of County Assembly did not violate any court order in the Tuesday impeachment. 23 MCAs voted to impeach Waiguru, while four abstained. Three police officers have been arrested in connection with a disturbing incident in Kuresoi South where a woman was brutalised by men in uniform.
