The son of Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno, Fredrick Joseph Otieno is being accused of fleecing his friend from college, a widow Ruth Aloo, Sh.11 million.
The complainant said that that she knew Fredrick while they were students in college 20 years ago. He presented himself as a Real estate agent and gave him the power of attorney to take possession and sell her house in Avenue Park estate in Nairobi.
The house was purchased and the sum of Sh.11 million was deposited in the account of Fredrick Joseph who then asked Ms Aloo if he could invest the money in areal estate project in Mozambique.
The complainant said that she refused for the money to be invested as she had planned to relocate and settle down using the said amount.
The complainant has said that attempts to reach her friend and real estate agent have been futile as he changed his number and cannot be traced.

She now says she is stranded in the USA after ending all her engagements. Her son also passed on due to the difficulties in the foreign land.
The case is currently in court and she wants to get get the proceeds from the sale of her house and that the defendant caters for the costs of the suit.
