The body of a missing boda boda rider was found floating on a river after a suspected murder in Macalder, Nyatike, Migori County.

The body of Shadrack Okello, 19 was found on Miroche river in Nyadago long after his murder, police said on Sunday.

He was reported missing on December 23. The body had decomposed when it was discovered.

He was a rider between Masara and Arombe in the area.

The body had head injuries and on the neck, police said.

The suspect is said to have died by suicide at the cells on December 27. The body was found hanging on a window grill long after the incident, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further probe.

Such deaths are usually investigated by the IPOA.
