
The Ministry of Education has on Friday adjusted the school term dates ‘given that a number of schools are gazetted as polling stations and tallying centres’ for the fresh presidential elections scheduled for October 26, 2017.
CS Education, Dr Fred Matiang’i has said that the minor adjustments to the third term dates will free up the institutions for use during the important national exercise.
The changes will affect one KCSE examination paper, Home science that was due to be taken on Thursday October 26 has been moved to Monday October 30.
In a statement, the CS has also noted that all primary schools will be closed for the Christmas holidays On Wednesday October 25.

KCPE candidates will attend rehearsals on Monday October 30, as their exams start on Tuesday October 31 and end on Thursday November 2, 2017.
Form one, two and three students will close school on Tuesday, October 24.
The changes come after IEBC rescheduled the fresh presidential elections to October 26.
