    Harambee Starlets begun a two-week residential camp Monday ahead of the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana next month.

    16 players took part in Monday’s training session, with the rest set to join them later.

    Kisumu All Starlets forward Betha Omita and St Pauls Abwao defender Christine Awuor have been called up in place of Marjoleen Nekesa and Juliet Auma who will be unavailable for selection.

    The team will play a friendly match against an FKF Women Premier League select side on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the Utalii Sports Ground.

    Two more friendly matches against Uganda and Ghana have also been lined up.

    Kenya is in Group B of the biennial tournament alongside defending champions Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia.

    The championship begins on 17 November to 1 December 2018 in Ghana.
