    Heavy Rains, Impatient Drivers Cause Traffic Snarl Up On Mombasa Road

    Motorist were forced to sleep on Mombasa road following a traffic snarl caused by an accident at Lukenya Athi River. The police blamed impatient drivers and heavy rains for the snarl up.

    The accident between a pick up and lorry heightened the level of traffic on the busy road.

    The Heavy rains and lack of adequate drainage caused the roads to flood leading to a lot of stalled lorries. The vehicles that chose to use the rough roads got stuck in the mud for hours.

    Most people who were traveling were left stranded  are still stranded on the road and police in Machakos say that they are working hard to restore sanity on the road.
