Jake Stormoen, born Jacob Leif Stormoen on July 20, 1988, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an American actor, writer, producer, and director.
Of Norwegian descent, he grew up in Minneapolis before pursuing higher education at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, Australia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media.
After a brief stint as a waiter, Stormoen moved to Los Angeles to chase his acting dreams.
His passion for fantasy and sci-fi has defined his career, leading him to prominent roles in projects like the Mythica film series and The CW’s The Outpost.
Beyond acting, he has explored writing, producing, and directing, showcasing his versatility in the entertainment industry.

Career
Stormoen’s acting career began in 2006 with a role as Ethan Banks in the short film Deadbolt, followed by a part in the 2007 video Absolute, where he also contributed as a writer.
His early career included an uncredited role in the 2008 film Step Up 2: The Streets, marking his feature film debut.

In 2012, he entered television with guest appearances in series like Lucky Days and My Gimpy Life.
His breakthrough came in 2014 when he landed the role of Dagen in Arrowstorm Entertainment’s Mythica: A Quest for Heroes, a fantasy franchise that spanned five films, including Mythica: The Darkspore, Mythica: The Necromancer, Mythica: The Iron Crown, and Mythica: The Godslayer.
His affinity for fantasy made Arrowstorm, a Utah-based company specializing in the genre, a perfect fit.
In 2018, Stormoen gained wider recognition as Captain Garret Spears in The Outpost, appearing in 36 episodes through 2021.
He also played Duncan in nine episodes of the 2017 sci-fi series Extinct and took on roles in TV movies like Christmas Wonderland and Love, Lost & Found, the latter of which he also produced and co-wrote.
In 2023, he directed Mythica: Stormbound, the sixth installment in the Mythica series, further expanding his creative footprint.
Other notable projects include films like War Pigs, Cyborg X, and The Appearance, where he co-starred with his friend Kristian Nairn, known for Game of Thrones.
Stormoen’s diverse portfolio also includes voice work in The Elder Scrolls Online video game and contributions as a writer and producer in short films like Grace Note.
