‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star Jessi Draper Ngatikuara and her husband Jordan Ngatikuara have officially began divorce proceedings.
According to court documents filed in Utah on Thursday and obtained by media outlets, Jordan has moved to end the couple’s five-year marriage.
In a statement reported by TMZ, Jordan described the decision as difficult, saying it was made “with a heavy heart.” He expressed gratitude for the memories they shared but noted that their lives are now “moving in different directions.” He added that his main focus remains on their children, emphasizing the need to ensure they feel “loved, supported, and protected” during the transition.
Jordan also called for privacy, saying he intends to handle the situation with “kindness and respect” as the family adjusts to the changes.
The couple share two children together — a son and a daughter — while Jordan also has a daughter from a previous relationship. Their relationship has been marked by challenges over the years, including multiple separations since their marriage in 2020.
Their marital struggles were documented in Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, where the pair attempted to repair their relationship following a 90-day separation in 2025.
In a previous interview with People magazine in November 2025, Jessi opened up about difficulties in the marriage, alleging emotional abuse that she said began shortly after they wed. She described a gradual pattern of troubling behavior that became more apparent over time.
Despite the divorce filing, Jessi appeared active on social media, recently sharing selfies and videos, including clips of her practicing dance routines with Dancing With the Stars professional Sasha Farber.
The split comes during a turbulent period for the show, which has faced production challenges. Fellow cast member Taylor Frankie Paul has also been at the center of controversy, leading to a reported pause in filming for Season 5.
