Joho Appoints Betty Kyalo’s Brother Minister in Mombasa County Government

Governor Ali Hassan Joho has named Betty Kyalo’s brother Kevin Munywoki Kyalo as a County Executive Committee member in his new cabinet.

According to the statement released from the county, Kevin will be the CEC in charge of Youth and Gender at the county. Others named in the new cabinet are;

• Taufiq Mohamed Balala – Transport and Infrastructure
• Godfrey Nyongesa Nato – Environment
• Edward Dzilla Nyale – Lands, Physical Planning and Housing
• Hazel Koitaba – Health
• Fatma Awale – Water, Sanitation and Natural Resources 

Some of the new faces in the cabinet includes Hassan Mwamtoa (Agriculture) who was former Nyali MP Hezron Awiti’s running mate, Fawz Rashid (Trade and Tourism) who was a board member at the Coast General Hospital and Seth Orongo (Devolution and Public Service ), a lecturer at the University of Nairobi.

The cabinet members are expected to be sworn into office soon.

Governor Joho dated the outgoing TV host Betty Kyalo until sometime last year when it was reported that they went their separate ways citing irreconcilable differences.

The appointment of the brother to the cabinet clearly shows that Joho still has a thing for the divorced beauty queen.

Governor Joho is known to be currently seeing another beauty, the niece of President Kagame of Rwanda.
