    Jordan Eberle is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who serves as a right winger and captain of the Seattle Kraken in the National Hockey League (NHL).

    Born on May 15, 1990, in Regina, Saskatchewan, he is recognized for his scoring ability, playmaking skills, leadership, and consistency as a top-six forward.

    Drafted 22nd overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Eberle has enjoyed a long career across multiple teams and was named the second captain in Kraken franchise history.

    Jordan has two older sisters, Ashley and Whitney, an older brother, Christopher, and a younger brother, Dustin.

    His father, Darren, coached him in minor hockey, and the family moved from Regina to Calgary when Jordan was 15.

    The siblings shared a supportive environment that encouraged athletic pursuits, with Dustin also playing junior hockey and being drafted by the Regina Pats.

    Career

    Eberle’s hockey journey began in Saskatchewan youth programs before he starred with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

    He excelled in junior hockey, earning major awards and helping Canada at international events.

    After being drafted by the Edmonton Oilers, he made his NHL debut in the 2010-11 season and quickly established himself as a dynamic scorer, notably posting 34 goals and 76 points in his second full season.

    He spent his first eight NHL seasons with the Oilers before a trade to the New York Islanders in 2017, where he continued as a reliable producer.

    In 2021, Eberle was selected by the Seattle Kraken in the NHL Expansion Draft and has since become a cornerstone of the franchise.

    He reached his 1,000th NHL game while with the Kraken and signed a contract extension to remain in Seattle.

    Known for his clutch performances and two-way play, he has played over 1,100 career NHL games and served as a veteran leader and captain.

    Accolades

    In the WHL, Eberle earned the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as Player of the Year in 2010, the Doc Seaman Trophy for scholastic achievement, and multiple East First All-Star selections.

    Internationally, he won gold and silver at the IIHF World Junior Championships, earning Tournament MVP and Best Forward honors in 2010 while becoming one of Canada’s all-time leading scorers at the event.

    In the NHL, he was selected to the 2012 All-Star Game and has been a consistent performer for over 15 seasons.

    With the Seattle Kraken, he has received team awards for perseverance and dedication, including the Guyle Fielder Award, and has been nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
