Kenya Airways has advised passengers travelling from the United States to arrive at the airport earlier than usual due to ongoing operational challenges at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
In a notice, the airline said the challenges are linked to staffing constraints at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which are affecting security screening processes.
Kenya Airways warned that travellers departing from JFK may experience longer waiting times at security checkpoints.
“To ensure a smooth and timely travel experience, all Kenya Airways guests departing from JFK are strongly advised to arrive at least five hours before their scheduled departure time,” the airline said.
The carrier added that it is monitoring the situation and awaiting resolution of the operational issues at the airport.
