Kiambu residents are an agitated lot after their newly elected Woman Representative, Gathoni wa Muchomba refused to take a pay cut as recommended by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).

The former Kameme Fm presenter was heavily criticized by Kenyans for not taking a pay cut yet she was yet to be sworn in.

Kiambu residents are now seeking to recall Ms Muchomba.

Many also took to twitter to express their disappointment in the woman representative, saying that she has barely been the office and already asking for a pay rise.
