Lil Tjay has been arrested in Florida following an altercation connected to a shooting incident involving fellow rapper Offset.
According to authorities, the 24-year-old artist—whose real name is Tione Merritt—was taken into custody on Monday evening and later booked at the Broward County Jail. He faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct-affray, as confirmed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on a $500 bond after processing.
Police reports indicate that Lil Tjay was involved in a physical altercation shortly before the shooting occurred. The Seminole Police Department stated that a second individual was also detained at the scene, though no additional charges have been filed so far.

The incident unfolded near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where Offset was shot on Monday night. A spokesperson for the rapper confirmed that he was rushed to hospital and is currently in stable condition while receiving medical care.
In a statement, police said the shooting took place in the hotel’s valet area, leaving one person with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for treatment.
Authorities added that two individuals have been detained as investigations continue, emphasizing that the situation has been contained and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Hotel operations have since returned to normal.
