A man collapsed and died after he had arrived at his Limuru Town home in Kiambu County.

The man identified as Paul Kimani Karanja, 50 arrived home Friday night and informed his wife he was from Kitui where he had gone to seek for spiritual interventions since his butchery business was going down.

According to witnesses, the man excused himself to go to the toilet where he collapsed and died.

His body was found in the toilet hours after he had died. Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.

Police said they are yet to establish the cause of the death. The police said they will among others visit the church where the man had gone for the said prayers as part of the probe.

And police in Tana River’s Kipini area are investigating the discovery of a body in the Indian Ocean.

Police said the body was found in the Kengeleni area of Ozi beach.

The body had decomposed when it was discovered and identified as that of Joseph Raphael Kazungu with a black tag tied around his neck.

Police said the man may have died after a boat they were using for fishing capsized in the area.

Another fisherman is missing following the capsizing, locals said amid a search mission.

In the Mikuini area, Machakos County, a man was found dead and lying in a pool of blood after a suspected murder.

Police said the body of Musembi Mutinda, 32 was found near a bar.

He had been to the bar and left before he was fatally attacked. The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
