In Makindu, Makueni County, a man was killed after being assaulted in his house.

According to police, Meshack Maithya succumbed to his injuries at the Makindu Sub County Hospital. A suspect in the matter had reported that Maithya had assaulted him on June 29 and was asked to go for medical attention.

Instead, he went to the residence of the deceased and revenged by assaulting the deceased. Police said the suspect was later arrested for questioning and possible arraignment.

The body of the deceased was preserved at a local mortuary pending autopsy.

In Rangwe, Homabay County, one Felic Oduor, 29 was found dead and his body hanged on a tree after a suicide incident.

Meanwhile, two people were separately killed in mob lynching incidents. The incidents were reported in Emuhaya, Vihiga County and Subuiga, Meru County.

The bodies were moved to the mortuaries pending autopsy and investigations, police said. Police discourage mob lynching and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for action.
