A man is in distress after his wife got pregnant despite him undergoing a vasectomy in March 2004.
Samuel Gatenjwa has sued Marie Stopes and wants a detailed explanation from the doctor as to why the operation failed even after they assured him that it was going to work.
In his court papers, Mr Gatenjwa says Marie Stopes doctors led by Dr Igogi assured him that the operation was a success.
He further explains that the reason why he underwent the sterilization operation was because his wife was experiencing “unpleasant health side effects as a result of taking contraceptives.”
The doctors on the other hand have admitted to operating on the plaintiff but have denied assuring him that it would work.
“We admit carrying out the procedure on the plaintiff as alleged but we did not inform the plaintiff that the operation was a success as he alleges,” the hospital says.
