Police are all over a suicide note drafted by a Masinde Muliro University student.
According to Kakamega Sub-County Police Commander, David Kabena they are treating the matter with the utmost seriousness.
Mr Kabena further nothed that they have forwarded it to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for further investigations.
“Attempted suicide is a criminal offense,” he stated, adding that detectives will be looking into the authenticity of the two page letter.
In the chilling note, the varsity student only identified as Jared tells how he has been suffering without help.
“I have now seen it important to commit suicide and leave you in peace. I know such a decision will be of pain to people but all in all, don’t worry because you never cared about me,” the note read in part.
Jared further directs that should he make good his threat, that he should not be buried in a coffin.
“Don’t bury me in a coffin, just put me directly in the soil. If you never afforded to give me food, don’t also afford to buy a coffin,” he said.
“Don’t eat expensive meals,” he demanded.
Jared also wants his remains taken to church for a memorial service and that the convoy to his burial site not have more than three cars.
He did however thank his parents and the church for always having his back.
