midiwoJakoyo Midiwo wants President Uhuru Kenyatta and the NASA leader, Raila Odinga to dialogue and avoid plunging the country into chaos, as was in August and October.

Speaking on NTV, the former Gem legislator said that the two political divides should hold talks and instead bring change that the country is in dire need of.

”I am of a different opinion. I would talk to Uhuru directly to stop the shenanigans, to stop the sideshows. To put all and sundry together and see how we can move forward,” Midiwo said on Tuesday morning.

”All of us must sit down and say what is right for this country,” he added.

On matters Odinga’s January 30 inauguration, Midiwo warned the Jubilee government against taking the matter lightly.

”This war cry that nothing will happen on 30th… You will find yourself in a hole you can’t get out of. The Raila Odinga of August 8 is less popular than the Raila of January 2018,” he said.

Also present during the morning show was Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who noted that the inauguration would not take place and was a non-issue.

”We can take a bet that nothing like that will happen on January 30,” the legislator said.

Odinga and his deputy, Kalonzo Musyoka have on the other hand been seeking an audience with the government and on the table are electoral reforms.

But the Jubilee government is allegedly at a crossroads with the naming of the cabinet. On one hand, Uhuru is said to be appointing men and women of integrity that will help realize his legacy and his deputy, keen on naming a team that will spearhead his 2022 presidential bid.
