Slain businesswoman Monica Kimani’s brother George Thiiru is still angry with his sister’s alleged killers.

George, who discovered his sister’s body at her Lamuria Gardens apartment did not take it kindly that Joseph Irungu alias Jowie’s friends celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, 21 November.

One of Jowie’s friends, Joe Muchiri wrote on Instagram that his ally who has been moved to the Kamiti Prison awaiting trial in June was not having a time of his life on his special day.

“Not A Happy Birthday For Jowie ?. Sigh,” Muchiri wrote.

But George was quick to respond noting that his family was still hurting from the loss of their sister and on her birthday, instead of celebrating, they cried.

Commenting on Muchiri’s post, George said: “This nonsense people call friendship is bullsh*t! my sisters birthday was last month too but instead we cried rather than celebrating. And this f*cker was our friend too, in fact we hosted him at my sisters house a few weeks before she was killed. So f*ck friendship.”

An irate George replied to another social media users who noted that the public does not know for sure that Jowie was responsible for the death of Monica.

“Only God knows, so my dear pardon us but we still stand with our brother Jowie cause we believe he is innocent,” the user said.

He then responded saying: “[It’s] cool you have a point but truth remains he was among the last person to see my sister alive, and we spoke that same day and he lied and told me he only spoke to my siz on phone. my point was simple friendship nowadays is overrated.”

Jowie was arrested in September alongside his fiancee Jacque Maribe in connection with the brutal murder of the 28 year old businesswoman.

Maribe was granted a Sh2 million cash bail by Justice James Wakiaga. The judge denied Jowie bail saying that he is a flight risk and possess a threat to potential witnesses.

He also referred to him as the male version of a “Slay Queen” or a “Woman eater.”

He now wants the judge to recuse himself seeing as he might not get a fair trial.
