Kahawa Tungu can exclusively report that Kenyan Premier League heavyweights Gor Mahia are close to signing Moses Mudavadi and Nicholas Kipkirui from Kakamega Homeboyz and Zoo FC respectively.

Kip is a proven left back while Mudavadi is an outstanding attacking midfielder. Both have never known any other topflight club other than Homeboyz and Zoo.

The duo are finalizing paperwork with Gor’s office before they can start training with the rest of the squad who are preparing for next month’s international friendly against Everton in the UK.

Immediate former Kariobangi Sharks defender Pascal Ogweno and new signing Shafik Batambuze trained Friday at the Camp Toyoyo grounds.

Other players K’Ogalo are winding up negotiations with include Allan Wanga of Kakamega Homeboyz, Sony Sugar’s goalkeeper Kevin Omondi, striker Erick Ombija of Coast Stima and Castro Ogendo from Kisumu.

Players to be released will be formerly known after the Everton trip, however, we have learnt that Ivorian Ephriam Guikan is not in the plans of coach Dylan Kerr for next season.

The club is racing against time to find a soft landing for him so that they can sign either Burundian Caleb Bimenyimana of Rayon Sports or Ugandan Irissa Ssekisumba.

Apart from defending their KPL crown which they won for a record 17th time last season, Gor will also be representing the country in the CAF Champions League.
