NASA co-principal and Amani National Congress party leader, Musalia Mudavadi has asked the Jubilee party to pay dowry for the Bungoma governor, Ken Lusaka.

Lusaka who defected to Jubilee party earlier on this year has been under fire for supporting Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid. He has been criticized by his tribes men including Mudavadi and Senator Wetangula.

Speaking at Bukembe market, Musalia asked the Jubilee party to pay dowry for ‘marrying’ the governor.

”Lusaka is married to Jubilee party and we have waited for the bribe price, but they have not paid.”

”If Jubilee cannot pay bribe price, how will it ensure that unemployed youths are employed, develop infrastructure and have the economy grow by double digit?” he asked.

Mudavadi asked NASA’s gubernatorial candidate to make sure the ruling party pays Lusaka’s bride price because any one who does not pay is considered a bad omen in the Luhya community.

He also said that the Jubilee candidates in the area should be sent into political oblivion for not negotiating the governor’s bride price.

Musalia also asked the residents to oust Lusaka in the upcoming August election.
