Makueni Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has said that his father, Mutula Kilonzo, did not die of natural causes.

Testifying at his late father’s inquest, the legislator said his death was ‘well-organised, executed in collaboration with workers, followed by massive cover-up.’

”I expected that so as to bring out any form of conspiracy, a report be done on whom the workers or the people he was close to spoke with or made contacts hours or days before he died, but no such report has ever been done,” Senator Kilonzo noted.

The Makueni legislator said that the ploy to cover up his father’s cause of death was hatched right after the autopsy was conducted at the Lee Funeral Home.

He also pointed out that the government pathologist Johansson Odour; part of the team conducting the autopsy had said that the toxicology could not be done in Kenya hence recommending Prof Ian Koller who is based in the UK.

The senator said that he months later received a damning email from Prof. Koller who said that he received unsealed samples.

The deceased’s son also expressed disappointment in how a senior Kenyan politician’s death was handled in a casual manner.

The deceased passed away in April 2013 and according to an autopsy, he died of massive bleeding caused by high blood pressure.

According to Junior, his father had not complained of any sickness on April 16, 2013.

The case will be heard on October 10, 2017.
