The Ngirita Family cannot raise the Sh.8 Million that will ensure their freedom, the court heard.
Ann Wambere Wanjiku, Jeremiah Gichina, Lucy Ngirita and Phyllis Ngirita through their lawyer Cliff Ombeta told the court that they could not raise the money after their bank accounts were frozen and assets seized.
“How are they going to finance their case and they have no access to their accounts? The State is also snooping in our accounts. This is not fair and you need to give us directions to this too,” Ombeta told the court.
He further accused the state of taking his clients cars.
“Are those accounts going to be exhibits in court?” he posed.

They have asked the court to alter the orders.
On Tuesday Justice Hedwig Ong’udi granted NYS suspects Sh.1 million cash bail or Sh.5 million bond and Sh.2 million surety each.
They were however asked to deposit their passports or any other travel documents with the court and report at least once a week at the DCI offices.
