The High court has ruled in favor of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party who had replaced Godfrey Osotsi.
Osotsi was replaced by political analyst Barack Muluka after his nomination to parliament as the party’s nominee.
Osotsi had been rumored to have resigned as the Secretary General but he called a press conference to dispel the said rumors stating that his opponents were maligning him.
Osotsi has had a rough patch with the party which had dismissed him from the party for his stance and support for the ODM party almost jeopardize his parliamentary nomination. The speaker gave him a new lease after he declined to accept the suspension.
he party’s National Executive Council (NEC) adopted the party’s disciplinary resolution that the member should be expelled over “wrongful conduct.”

In a statement on Wednesday, the party stated that the member ceases to enjoy party privileges.
“Hon. Godfrey Atieno Osotsi stands expelled from ANC. He is no longer a member of this Party and ceases to enjoy the privileges attendant to being a member of the Party, or to act on behalf of the Party in any way whatsoever, ” the press statement read in part.
