National Youth Service (NYS) Director General Richard Ndubai has been apprehended following the Sh9 Billion scandal.

Ndubai was reportedly arrested on Sunday night together with three others; Assistant director general Sam Michuki, a finance manager identified as Mbugua and a fourth official whose identity remains unknown.

The four were reportedly held at Muthaiga Police Station and will later be taken to the DCI headquarters for grilling.

This comes after Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji confirmed receipt of Inquiry Files No. 51 of 2018 to 60 of 2018 from the DCI, George Kinoti.

“The DPP has independently reviewed all the inquiries files related to the ongoing investigations at NYS and has directed prosecution commences immediately against all the named suspects,” the office of the DPP said on Monday via Twitter.
