Migori Governor Okoth Obado joined Deputy President William Ruto in Nyeri county on Sunday, where they attended the Dr Wahome Gakuru Memorial day.

On Saturday, Obado declared that he is switching camp in order to support the Deputy President in his course for development.

“Is there a problem if I work with Governor Obado? I will continue to work with him to deliver development to our people. I will not mind what is said of our closeness. Let us stop this incessant politics and embrace unity and development. The time will come for us to talk politics,” DP Ruto said during his tour in Migori.

Speaking to the press in Nyeri, Governor Obado once again requested for people to continue praying for him as he is ‘walking through the fire’.

“Let me just ask that you continue praying for me because of this other problem I am facing. My name has been greatly tarnished but my spirit remains intact, actually its even more stronger,” Obado said after the marathon.
