    Probe as female teacher is found dead in her house in Nakuru

    Police in Rongai, Nakuru County are investigating an incident where a teacher was found dead in her house.

    She was a teacher at Rongai Academy.

    The colleagues of Marion Muthoni Makori said they saw smoke emanate from her house in Kimangu village and when they went to check the source, they found her collapsed and dead.

    Police said the body did not have any visible injuries and was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations over the January 26 incident.

    Police said they want to establish if the woman was killed in the house and the fire staged.

    And a man was found murdered and his body abandoned on the roadside in Molo, Nakuru County.

    The motive of the murder was not established, police said of the January 26 incident., The victim had deep cuts on the forehead, neck and back of the head which led to a broken skull.

    His mobile phone had been destroyed by the suspected killers.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy, police said.

    And a man who had been assaulted succumbed to the injuries in hospital. The assault happened in Saka, Balambala, Garissa County while the man succumbed in Nairobi where he had been taken to.

    Police said they would charge the man behind the assault with murder.

    And a man collapsed and died in a village in Birongo, Kisii County.

    The cause of the death was not known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident where a gang broke into a supermarket in Kemera, Nyamira County and stole Sh200,000.

    A review of security cameras confirmed the said thieves used spare keys to gain entry into the supermarket. Police said they arrested a suspect behind the incident and that nothing else was stolen from the premises.
