Reality Star Taylor Frankie Paul Steps Back From Social Media and Filming Amid Personal Challenges

Reality television personality Taylor Frankie Paul has stepped back from both social media and television, as she navigates a period of personal and legal challenges.

Paul, best known for her role on the Hulu series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has deactivated her TikTok and Instagram accounts, where she had amassed millions of followers. The move comes shortly after she opted not to resume filming for the show’s upcoming fifth season.

A source close to the influencer told People magazine that Paul is taking time away to focus on her mental health following a difficult few months.

“Taylor is taking a breather. It’s been a lot over the last couple of months, and she will return when she feels ready to continue sharing her story,” the source said, adding that she will decide later whether to rejoin the show.

Her withdrawal follows ongoing domestic violence-related investigations involving her and her former partner Dakota Mortensen. Production of the Hulu series had been temporarily paused amid the controversy, but filming is now expected to resume without both Paul and Mortensen.

Despite stepping away, sources indicate that Paul retains the option to return to the show in the future and has continued to receive support from cast members and producers.

The influencer, who is a mother of three, has been at the center of public scrutiny since footage of a 2023 domestic incident involving Mortensen surfaced earlier this year. The situation led to multiple investigations by authorities in Utah, as well as legal actions from both parties, including protective order filings.

Earlier this month, prosecutors in Salt Lake County confirmed they would not pursue charges against Paul in relation to the most recent allegations.
