Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled a two-year warranty support for its range of products and appliances in East Africa.

The program dubbed Samsung Smart Care 24 Month Warranty, will see Samsung Electronics provide comprehensive service support across all its products for customers purchasing Samsung products from authorised dealers.

Samsung is surely spreading its roots in East Africa and winning the confidence of many of its clients in the region through such after-sale-services. Just last week, the electronics giant saw the first class of its Kshs 70million Engineering Academy start. The new extended warranty by Samsung Electronics will guarantee improved loyalty on the brand with assured quality.

The other company now providing warranty beyond the 12 months is LG with its 2 year parts support warranty.

Samsung East Africa Business Leader Robert Ngeru explained that the two-year warranty will cover all Samsung electronic products and appliances including mobile phones.

The roll-out of the Samsung Smart Care 24 Month Warrant has been made possible by the firm’s quality assurance systems and adoption of Built For Africa strategy, which focuses on manufacturing tropicalised products for local conditions.

The extended Samsung Smart Care 24 Month Warranty will be delivered through Samsung’s Customer Service Plaza network in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu alongside other authorised service centres across all major towns.

To support the new extended warranty period, Samsung Electronics has also unveiled a fully stocked spare parts hub in Nairobi to help reduce service centre turnaround time. The new Samsung Spare Parts hub is the only one of its kind in sub Sahara Africa and is stocked with more than 10million line items.

According to Samsung Electronics East Africa Service Lead Ms. Koki Muia, the firm has also opened a Customer Service Plaza in the same building as the new Engineering Academy. Besides providing a one-stop shop for service, repair and inquiries on all Samsung products the service centre will also provide students at the Engineering Academy with first-hand experience on how customer and product repairs are managed.
