    Uhuru To Be Sworn In Next Week After Apex Court Upholds His Re-election

    The Supreme court has upheld the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

    Led by Chief Justice David Maraga, the court dismissed the petitions of Harun Mwau,Njonjo Mue and Khaleef Khaleefa citing that they were unmerited.

    The court was faced with this task after it nullified the August 8 polls and ordered the IEBC to go back and conduct a fresh elections in accordance with the constitution and the election laws.

    Critics have accused the supreme court of making a political decision.

    President Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in on the first Tuesday after the ruling(28th November) as per the constitution.
