Police in Embakasi have arrested two suspects and recovered a firearm during a night patrol in the Pipeline area.

The National Police Service (NPS) said the incident happened on the night of September 1, 2025, after officers received information that two individuals were in possession of a suspected gun.

The patrol team moved to Munche Building, where they searched a room on the 6th floor occupied by the suspects. During the search, officers found a Powerline Airstrike pistol hidden inside a carton box.

The two suspects were immediately arrested and taken into custody. Police said they are being held as investigations continue.

In a statement, NPS commended members of the public for sharing information that helped in the recovery.

“National Police Service commends members of the public for providing the information and the officers for their prompt response, which led to the successful recovery and arrests,” the statement read.

The police further assured the public of their commitment to security.
“The Service remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, residents, and visitors,” NPS added.
