The body of a woman was found on the roadside after her murder in Kenyenya village, Kisii County.
Police found the body of the woman had injuries on her neck and appeared to have been burnt using a chemical.
The body seemed to have also been delivered and dumped at the scene where it was found, police said of Saturday’s incident.
Police said they are investigating murder in the saga and they are yet to establish the motive so far.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification, an autopsy and investigations.
Elsewhere in Rabai, Kilifi County, one Hussein Kumba, 66 was killed in an attack by unknown people in the Ruruma area.
Police said the man was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
Police said the deceased had three deep cuts on the back of his head. He was alone at his home when he was assaulted fatally by the assailants.
The motive was not known, police said adding there were blood stains in the compound when a team arrived there to pursue the matter.
Police said they arrested three suspects in connection with the murder.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Laare, Meru County’s Kaelo area, one Dominic Mwongera, 20 was found dead on the roadside after suspected murder.
Police said the body of the man had visible injuries in the head.
Police added they gathered that the man had been attacked after being accused of stealing miraa in the area.
His village mates threatened to attack the farm where the body was found for revenge prompting police to intervene and calm the situation. Police said they are investigating the murder.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
