A worker was electrocuted at a bakery in Nairobi’s Kariobangi area in an incident.

The deceased was identified as Rodgers Agangwa, 23. Other employees at the Misters Bakery said the deceased had finished the day’s work and was washing his dust coat when the incident happened on Wednesday May 14.

He went to hang the coat on a line that is next to a naked live wire when the incident happened.

Other witnesses rushed to the scene in efforts to safe him in vain. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

A team of police visited the scene of the incident as part of the probe into the same.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations, police said.

Elsewhere in Nambale, Busia County, a 22-year-old casual labourer died after a wall collapsed on him.

Police said David Ouma Oyungu was among workers picked to demolish a wall in Eskulu village when the incident happened on Wednesday.

He was rushed to Busia County Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

Elsewhere in Ntimaru, Migori County, a man aged 56 was found dead on a footpath after a suspected murder.

Police said Charles Mwita’s body was found lying along a walking path leading to his home with head injuries.

He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.

The body was preserved at a mortuary pending autopsy and probe.

The motive of the attack is yet to be known.

In the same area, a body was spotted floating in River Nyaburaro within the Wangirabise division.

Upon retrieval and examination, the body had a fresh wound on the left ear, and there was swelling on the neck, suggesting strangulation.

A panga was also retrieved from the river and kept as an exhibit, police said adding the deceased was identified as Johnes Mwita, 25.

The body was preserved at a local mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
