A WWE star, Kane, who made his name playing as Undertaker’s half- brother in the ring, has been elected as mayor in Knox County, Tennessee, USA.

Glenn Jacobs, popularly known as Kane, won two-thirds of the vote in Knox County, beating Democrat Linda Haney.

The 51-year-old Republican, who has an English degree from Truman State University, ran on issues like keeping taxes low, improved infrastructure, increased salaries for teachers and sheriff’s deputies and transparency.

He is the second WWE star to become mayor in the US, following in Jesse Ventura’s footsteps.

Although it is not clear if he would be retiring from WWE, Glenn has said he wouldn’t rule out a special appearance in the ring.

He is set to be sworn in on September 1, 2018.
