The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a rise in ticket prices for the CHAN 2024 quarterfinal match between Kenya and Madagascar set for Friday, August 22, 2025.

In a notice released on Tuesday, August 19, CAF confirmed that the price of regular match tickets has been increased from Sh200 to Sh250. The football body also announced that online ticket sales will officially open on the same day from exactly 12:00 noon.

“Mark your calendar! Sales start on August 19, 2025, at 12 pm,” read an update on the CAF website.

The Kenyan government has already confirmed that several official fan zones will be set up across Nairobi to allow supporters to watch the much-anticipated match live. Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya said the fan zones will be located at Uhuru Park, Lucky Summer (Ngomongo area behind Kasarani Stadium), Dandora Stadium, Utalii Stima Club, Jacaranda Grounds and DC Grounds in Kibera.

There has been growing excitement across the country as the Harambee Stars prepare to make their first-ever appearance in the CHAN semifinals. Kenya heads into the match in strong form, but faces a determined Madagascar side that has gained a reputation for being resilient and tactical.

Local broadcasters have been urging fans to buy their tickets early as the match is expected to attract a huge crowd at Kasarani Stadium, with analysts predicting a packed venue.

CHAN 2024 has delivered thrilling fixtures so far, and Friday’s clash between Kenya and Madagascar is being billed as one of the biggest highlights of the tournament.
