Two revelers were killed in a fight in a bar in Nambale, Busia County.

The incident happened on Christmas Day in the Nasira area and in Pumzika bar.

A group of revelers were in the bar when a fight broke out.

This left Evans Omulako, 28 and Fredrick Wanjala, 28 dead. The other revelers, who were about ten, escaped with injuries.

Police said they are yet to establish what prompted the fight.

The victims were rushed to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead while being attended to.

The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy as police search for the assailants.

Meanwhile, an attempt by a man to steal an electric pole turned tragic when it trapped him fatally in Kihunguro area, Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The incident happened along the Thika Road where the victim had used a hacksaw to cut an electric pole with the intention of stealing it.

Police said the pole fell on him and trapped his neck between another pole. He died on the spot and his body was found hanging there on Christmas Day morning.

Vandalism of electric poles and cables has been rampant in the area and it left many in darkness.
