    Nathan Lane’s reputation was largely built on Broadway. He made his Broadway debut in Noël Coward’s Present Laughter in 1982. Over the years, he became one of Broadway’s most celebrated performers.

    He won his first Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. In 2001, he earned another Tony Award for his role as Max Bialystock in The Producers, one of the most successful musicals of its time.
