Chief Magistrate Julius Ng’arnga’r of Kisumu Court has ruled in favor of woman, Antonina Akinyi, ordering Aga Khan hospital to pay her Ksh3 million in damages for negligence back in 2015.
Antonina sued the doctor who treated her and Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu after she was treated for abdominal pain in a case where she had to go for surgery but the operation developed complications afterwards.

She went for further treatments which revealed that a surgical instrument had been left inside her body.
She says that she lodged a complaint with the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board which directed the hospital to compensate her but it was all in vain prompting her to go to court.
