    Akkaphan Namart was a talented Thai actor known professionally as “Om” Akkaphan Namart.

    Born on January 28, 1985, in Bangkok, Thailand, he gained recognition for his work in Thai television dramas and films.

    He graduated from Bangkok University’s Faculty of Communication Arts.

    Tragically, he passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 39 after a battle with rare cardiac muscle cancer, which he was diagnosed with in October 2022.

    Siblings

    Akkaphan was the older of two siblings, having one younger sibling named Wannaka Namart.

    However, not much is known about Wannaka, including her personal life or career pursuits, as he leads a private life compared to his famous brother.

    Career

    Namart began his acting career with a television debut in the 2008 lakorn Ruk Sorn Kaen on Channel 3, taking on a minor role.

    He later transitioned to Channel 7, where he became a prominent figure.

    He appeared in numerous popular Thai dramas, showcasing his versatility in both lead and supporting roles.

    Notable works include Mon Ruk Kao Tom Mud (2009), Sapai Glai Peun Tiang (2009), Sao Chai Hi-Tech (also known as Hitech Maid, 2010), Prajan Lai Payak (The Moon with Tiger Stripes, 2010), Bundai Dok Ruk (2011, where he played twins), Ching Nang (2012), Satja Nai Chum Joan (2022), and others such as Thaviphop and Beloved Navy.

    He also made his film debut in Coffee Please (2013).

    His career spanned from 2008 until health issues forced him to pause projects, including withdrawing from the series Roy Rak Roi Sin due to his illness.

    He was affiliated with agencies like Polyplus early on and later with Channel 7 from 2014 onward.

    Accolades

    Namart received the Golden TV Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Prajan Lai Payak (The Moon with Tiger Stripes).

    His contributions to Thai lakorn were widely appreciated by fans and colleagues, who often praised his talent, humility, and captivating portrayals in various roles.
